Your Interview Practice

This tool allows you to practise a simulated interview with Harper, our calm, professional, and supportive AI interviewer. Harper specialises in helping prospective international students prepare for their interview as part of their university application. This tool is only designed to support students on pathway courses studying at the International Study Centre.

1
STEP ONE
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO KNOW TO SPEAK WITH HARPER
  • Your full name
  • Your registered email address (as on your application)
  • Your registered phone number, including country code

Without these details, you won’t be able to take the interview as we check this information against our records. Can’t access the interview? Contact our conversion team for support.

You’ll also need to make sure you are somewhere quiet as background noise can interrupt the conversation.

2
STEP TWO
THE INTERVIEW

Harper will ask structured questions similar to those found in a real interview. You’ll receive general feedback on each answer, focusing on clarity, consistency, coherence, and level of detail.

The goal is to help you reflect on your responses and improve your confidence. You may be asked follow-up questions if your answers are unclear or too short.

Remember: facts matter. Don’t just say “I like that university”. Explain why in detail.

3
STEP THREE
WHAT’S NEXT
  • You can take the interview once every 24 hours
  • You have a limited number of attempts
  • You’ll receive follow-up by email after assessment

STEP FOUR
TIPS

Focus on being genuine, clear, and reflective. Over time, your answers will become stronger and more confident.

Do not memorise answers. Natural responses perform far better in real interviews.

  • Scripted answers do not work in real interviews
  • Natural responses are more effective
